HVAC Summer Checklist

The summer heat is coming, and we are here to give you tips on how to keep your air conditioner in the best shape this season! Be proactive with some HVAC maintenance so you do not have to risk those hot and sweaty breakdowns while you wait for help.

TUNE-UP
If you have not had your HVAC maintenance tune-up yet, do it ASAP! It’s important to have a technician inspect and troubleshoot your HVAC systems to ensure you have its peak performance during the summer. You can rest and not worry about unexpected breakdowns or your HVAC system giving you any trouble.

Change Your Air Filter
This should happen on a regular basis. Since your HVAC system runs more frequently during the warmer months, the filters fill up with debris faster. Be sure to check your air filter EVERY month to see if it needs to be changed.

Do Not Cover Your Exterior Air Conditioner
When you mow your lawn you may have grass, mulch, leaves, and more covering your condensing unit and block the fins that allow heat to leave the system.

Open Vents
It is time to go around and double check all your vents. Move anything that may cover or block your vents so the air can circulate freely through the ducts.
