1. Make sure your vents are open

2. Clean or replace your filter
Your filter has an important job to help move warm air through all in the rooms in your home. A furnace filter protects you from dust mites, pollen, bacteria, pet dander, etc. It removes these particles from the air before it reaches your equipment and is heated. This is especially important for those who suffer from asthma or allergies.
If you have a dirty filter, this will now allow your furnace to operate the best it can. Filter should be changed out from 30 to 90 days. If you have a nicer (more expensive) air filter, this can help you last a little longer than 3 months. This all depends on the shape of your furnace and how old it is. 3.Make sure blower motor is functioning correctly
A furnace blower motor’s job is exactly what it sounds like. It helps with air circulation by driving the fan that proves air movement for the furnace. Once the heating elements reach to the temperature you have set for your home, the blower motor kicks on and pushes that air through the heat exchanger. Most furnace blowers also provide the air for the air conditioning system too.
A great way to notice if you’re furnace blower has a problem is the sound of the noise that is coming out of it. If it’s extra noisy, this can tell you if there is an issue with the blower electric motor or with the blower wheel. If you happen to hear a high pitch sound, this can tell you that two metal surfaces are grinding against one another. Then, a loud humming can tell you that you might have an electrical issue.

4. Reduce home’s heating load
