The Bathroom

First, we’ll go over the room where you probably use the most water. Between the shower, the sink, and the toilet, most of the charges on your water bill come from here. First, how to save water in the shower. Obviously, you should take as short as a shower as possible. Also, always shower, as baths take up much more water. Another thing you can do is get a low-flow showerhead if you don’t already have one. A low-flow shower can significantly cut down on the water you use while bathing. For the sink, only use it as necessary. When brushing your teeth, don’t leave it running, only turn it on to rinse. When shaving, only use when rinsing off the blade. If you have just one or two dirty dishes, it’s fine to wash them by hand.

Watering your lawn and your landscaping can also be quite costly. Try to cut down on these costs by setting timers on your sprinklers. Mulching your plants also helps to retain moisture longer. You can also use rain barrels to collect rainwater to use for watering purposes. If it’s spring, you can usually let the rain take care of your watering duties for you.
